1. Diabetes mellitus: High blood sugar levels can damage kidneys

2. Hypertension: High blood pressure can damage kidneys

3. Glomerulonephritis: Inflammation of the glomeruli

4. Polycystic kidney disease: Genetic disorder causing cysts in the kidneys

5. Obstruction: Blockages in the urinary tract

 

Stages of CRF

1. Stage 1: Kidney damage with normal function

2. Stage 2: Kidney damage with mild loss of function

3. Stage 3: Moderate loss of function

4. Stage 4: Severe loss of function

5. Stage 5: End-stage renal disease (ESRD)

 

Diet for CRF

Foods to Limit or Avoid

1. High-protein foods: Meat, poultry, fish (limit protein intake)

2. High-sodium foods: Processed meats, canned goods

3. High-phosphorus foods: Dairy products, processed meats, nuts

4. High-potassium foods: Bananas, avocados, spinach (limit potassium intake)

1. Low-protein foods: Fruits, vegetables, grains

2. Low-sodium foods: Fresh foods, herbs, spices

3. Calcium-rich foods: Fortified plant-based milk, leafy greens
